Beautiful avenues of oak, cottonwood poplar and plane adorn the streets of Terang. A national trust listed town of historic trees. Terang’s magnificent racecourse features a stately 1800’s grandstand and along with its harness racing track hosts a busy program of events. Experience a weekend of country racing and explore features of Kanawinka Global Geopark.

A delightful 6 km trail north from the township offers users spectacular views north to Mt Noorat. The view southward highlights the gentle rise of Terang and its crown of deciduous trees. Noorat Presbyterian Church was built as a memorial to Niel Black who developed Glenormiston Homestead (College).  Visitors, wedding guests, conference delegates are welcomed to explore this elegant homestead and follow in the footsteps of  His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales (later King Edward Vlll).
