About the listing
Are the stacks martyred; sentinels guarding the land from the bold affront of the Southern Ocean or is reference made to the despicable events of nearby Massacre Bay where local aboriginals were herded off the cliff to their death. The naming divides, the views unite.
Visitors please note that although dogs are permitted on the walking trail and beaches between Bay of Martyrs car park and Peterborough they are not permitted on Bay of Martyrs beach which is still home to nesting pairs of the critically endangered Hooded Plover.

- The trail to the lookout has a slight incline on crushed rock but is suitable for wheelchairs
