Enjoy the views over Victoria’s largest permanent inland lake. Look over to the west and you will see scattered volcanic peaks of Kanawinka Geopark.
Lake Corangamite was formed when cooling lava flows altered watercourses and effectively formed a natural dam. Lake Corangamite is 3 times saltier than sea water and hosts an array of migratory water birds in spring and summer.
From Red Rock lookout 7 crater lakes are visible and there are close to 40 separate eruption points in the Red Rock complex.
Toilets, playground and BBQ facilities are available 500m before the lookout
