Be a watchful traveller by learning about tracks and scats (footprints and poo!), burrows and other marks left by animals. Try some birdwatching and bird ID. Bring binoculars along if you have them!
This activity is suitable for children aged 6-12, who must be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 18 or over.
Please bring binoculars if you have them, water, sunscreen, insect repellent, and wear enclosed shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather.
Closest toilets and shops are in Princetown.
LOCATION: Activity meeting point is located in the Gellibrand River picnic area along Old Coach Road right next to the Gellibrand river. Preferred parking is in Princetown. Site can be located by walking along the Princetown Wetlands boardwalk (approx. 300m). There is some parking located at the site. Accessed from Old Coach rd off the Great Ocean Road near Princetown. Follow the signs to the Princetown Recreational Reserve and Camping Ground. Please DO NOT attempt to access the site from the other end of Old Coach Road as that section is a 4WD track.
*Be prepared for lots of wind! In the case of heavy rain, extreme winds or extreme condition the activity and location will change. This could potentially be to inside activities in Port Campbell, or it may need to be cancelled. Your activity host will be in touch if this is the case.
