NAIDOC ART EXHIBITION
The first solo exhibition to be held by The Courthouse Camperdown features Indigenous artist Tinika Clifford.
Tinika is a direct descendant from the Tubba-Gah Tribe, who are the Traditional Custodians of Dubbo, NSW, located within the Wiradjuri Nation. She is an award-winning Artist and mother of four young children. She also shares her culture, especially with younger generations, as an Indigenous Educator.
She has resided in Warrnambool, Victoria, for the past 13 years, being welcomed with open arms and spirit from the Peek Whurrong people of the Maar / Gunditjmara Nation.
Through her art and teachings, Tinika shares her love of her Ancestors, the Dreamtime, her culture, the land, and all that inhabits it. Her personal interpretation of particular stories is shared through a variety of different methods, either personally through interactions or via a canvas.
Tinika’s unique signature designs are a true reflection of her spirit, the love of her people, and her connection to Country. A combination of ancient and modern design, with an added contemporary twist.
If you would like to view more of her works and stay up to date with future creations, you can locate her on Facebook @ Tinika’s True Talent.
