Gables - Wreck Beach - Devil's Kitchen 8.4km

Elevation gained: 392m
Parking access to this area is 4.5km down a rough, narrow gravel road. Start the run with a view from the Gables Lookout and a fun single track descent to Wreck Beach including 366 steps. This run should only be attempted during an outgoing tide and swell conditions of less than 1.5m. Pavement pounders beware! Technical sections of slippery rock make gloves and trail running shoes a consideration.
Gables - Devil's Kitchen - Old Coach Road 9km

Parking access to this area is 4.5km along a rough, narrow gravel road. Park at either the Gables Lookout or Wreck Beach car park to commence the run. Suitable in all conditions and all seasons this is a good introduction to single track running with moderate gradients and excellent trail treatments. Please use the foot cleaning stations on the Great Ocean Walk to prevent spread of root rot fungus phytopthera cinammomi in this pristine area.
Loch Ard Gorge Sunrise 7km

With a mix of winding gravel and sealed paths connected to lookouts and viewing platforms to rest and reflect. Loch Ard Gorge in the early morning and near sunset (see sunset video) just has to be on your holiday running and walking bucket list. Pretty easy to run to any length but this 7km route is one of our favourites.

Princetown to 12 Apostles Great Ocean Walk

Organise a car shuffle to leave a car at the 12 Apostles, or book transport with Ride With Us for a one way 7.5km run or walk to remember. Commence at Princetown and cross the wetland boardwalk to connect with the Great Ocean Walk all the way to the 12 Apostles. Amazing!
Port Campbell Discovery Walk (Extended) 6km

Check out one of the most underrated trails on the coast, The link track to the lookout is worth the views (and the steps) and we through in a tour of town, Port Campbell Jetty and the lookouts on the townships Eastern headland. Enjoy!

Princetown - Old Coach Road - Great Ocean Walk loop 8km

A great little trail that takes in some sandy hills and rolling estuary farm land before turning onto the Great Ocean Walk near Rivernook for a twisting turning adventure with ocean and estuary views on your descent back into Princetown.
Princetown Shorty Trail Run 4.3km

A great loop trail with quite a few ups and downs. Fantastic views of the Ocean and the township of Princetown from the Great Ocean Walk. Turn right off the Great Ocean walk 2.5km in to return along Old Coach Road West to Princetown.
The Gables Lookout to Princetown - Great Ocean Walk 12.7km

Will require a car shuffle. A ripping undulating trail with 250 odd metres of vertical over just under 13km. Plenty of terrain and surface variety with deep forested gullies and jaw dropping coastal sections. One toilet on route at the Devil's Kitchen Great Ocean Walk campsite. Princetown - Great Ocean Walk - Clifton Beach loop 8km

An extension of the Princetown Shorty this run takes in more of the Great Ocean Walk and the spectacular views over Clifton Beach before returning through farmland and coastal heath on Old Coach Road. Plenty of Kangaroos to enjoy if running in morning or late afternoon.
Peterborough - Bay of Martyrs - steps and beaches edition 8km

Elevation gained: 135m
A spectacular mix of trail, beach and steps to get the heart pumping. Check tide and ocean swell conditions before you go if you intend running the beaches. Look out for and keep your distance from endangered hooded plovers when on Bay of Martyrs beach. Staying on clifftop trail will reduce this run to around 6km. Enjoy!
Mount Noorat summit and crater loop 2.4km

Sunrise is a must if you can. Trail gets a little technical and steep beyond the crater lookout and plenty of fun for the mountain goats amongst you. Potential for longer runs and multiple crater loops. For the purists a true summit would begin in the township where you will enjoy a nice incline on quiet streets as you wind past hillside cottages to the trail start on Morack Street. Enjoy!

There is something about new places that makes us lace up our runners that little bit tighter. Unfamiliar terrain and new sensory input triggers a primal physiological response that heightens the senses and dials the fun meter up to 10.
